Live Below the Line
Join the other dedicated New Zealanders living below the line
So what is Live Below the Line? It’s a huge new global success story that brings the grim reality of global poverty home. It asks young people to live for five days on $2.25 a day for food. That’s the global extreme poverty line, where 1.4 billion people live every day. Live Below the Line is always anchored by the international Global Poverty Project.
This is its first year in New Zealand.
Live Below the Line worked brilliantly with young people in the UK and Australia because it makes heavy use of social media like Facebook and Twitter. It speaks their language in their world. We love it and have picked our young South Sudan partner group so your young people can identify with them. So, again, what to do to help us fundraise for South Sudan. Promote this idea to your young people – go online, click livebelowtheline.co.nz pick CWS, register and sign up. Get some people (we recommend 18 upward) to live on $2.25 a day for food for five days. Sponsor them. Send us the results.
