Mark Oestreicher (previous president of Youth Specialities and author of 60 books) was the general editor of the Ignite Bible which is aimed at intermediate aged young people.
Mark is now working on a new project connected to Ignite Bible. He is calling for young people, probably 16 at the very oldest to contribute.
Here is the request:
We’re hoping to collect 100 stories from 100 teenagers who can write something about their own lives (an experience, a life lesson, a crisis, a learning) IN CONNECTION with a bible story. in other words, we’re wanting them to tell their story and draw a connection to something in scripture (again, ideally, a story, not just a verse). This could be a cool mentoring opportunity for you, if you have a few teenagers who are willing. it would be particularly awesome if they were young or middle teens, and not upper classmen. They’ll get a copy of the Ignite Bible as a thank you, assuming we use their story, and of course, a copy of whatever form the collection ends up in.
so: shoot me an email ([email protected]) if you’d like to help.
