It's where we'll be staying, and it's a big part of what makes Connect more than a conference: late-night kōrero in the lounge, breakfast with leaders from the other end of the country, and friendships that last well beyond the weekend. The Drifter sits on Lichfield Street in Christchurch's rebuilt central city, so you can drop your bags and be out the door in minutes. Cafés, food spots and the riverside are all walkable, and there's always a crew heading the same way.

The Drifter is just a 15-minute walk from our conference venue at St Paul's Trinity Pacific. It's a flat, easy stroll along St Asaph Street, so there's no need for a car. Walk over together in the morning and wander back together at night.

Bunkrooms: just $60 for both nights

Our top recommendation is the premium ensuite bunkrooms. They're bright, modern and private, with their own bathroom, comfy bunks with privacy curtains, lockable storage and charging points. PYM has reserved these rooms for Connect participants and is offering them at a discounted rate, so you'll be staying alongside other Connect people.

To secure the $60 bunk rate, register for Connect and select the bunk room option. Bunks are booked through your conference registration, not on the Drifter website. Bunk beds are subject to availability, so register as soon as you can. For any other room type, book directly with the Drifter (see below).
