An Online Discipleship Community for Youth Leaders
After four very positive pilot sessions, we've been encouraged to keep this ministry going. We've read the first half of The Master Plan of Evangelism together. Now we're offering four more sessions to finish the book before we review again. If you're interested, please fill in the sign-up form and tell us whether you'd prefer to start in Term 4 this year or Term 1 next year, along with your meeting time preferences.

Why this exists
Something important is missing.
We sense that there is an important piece missing in the faith formation of many of our amazing youth leaders: the opportunity to belong to a community of people committed to an intentional discipleship journey together, beyond attending worship services or youth leader training events.
"What would it look like if the leaders of our young people were deeply formed disciples of Jesus — not just skilled youth workers?"
Our pilot group spent four months exploring that question together, and the response has been so encouraging that we're carrying on. The second cohort finishes the book and keeps building the kind of community that actually changes people.

How it works
What happens each session
Each 90-minute Zoom session follows the same rhythm. Before we meet, we'll ask you to read one chapter of The Master Plan of Evangelism by Robert Coleman.

Engage with Scripture
We open by sitting with God's word together, letting it shape the conversation that follows.

Spiritual practices
A short practice rooted in a PYM core value, followed by small group reflection and prayer.

Book reflection
We discuss that session's chapter: how did Jesus actually make disciples, and what does it mean for us? Come having read it.

Group discussion
The same small group every session: discuss, reflect and pray together before we close.
What we're reading
The second half of The Master Plan of Evangelism
Jesus didn't launch a programme. He chose twelve people and walked closely with them until they could do the same with others. In the first four chapters we saw him choose, stay with, call and give himself to his disciples. The final four chapters are where he hands the mission over to them, which makes this the most practical part of the book for anyone leading young people.

Demonstration
Jesus showed his disciples how to live, pray and minister by doing it in front of them.
Session 2 · Ch 6
Delegation
He gave them real work to do and sent them out to do it.
Session 3 · Ch 7
Supervision
He kept checking in: debriefing, encouraging and correcting as they learned.
Session 4 · Ch 8
Reproduction
He expected them to make disciples who would make disciples.

When we meet

You're very welcome
New participants are welcome to join. Please read chapters 1–4 (Selection, Association, Consecration and Impartation) before our first session so you can dive straight in. Each chapter takes about 20–30 minutes, and we'll send you a free copy of the book when you sign up.

A few things we ask of you
Commit to all four sessions
Sessions aren't recorded. Real community depends on the same people showing up each time.
Show up ready
Read the chapter before we meet. Come prepared to engage, not just listen.
Drop the distractions
Find a quiet place. Don't do the laundry or draft your next youth talk while you're with us.
Be as open as you can
You'll be in the same small group every session. Make the most of it and be real with each other.
