Why this exists

Something important is missing.

We sense that there is an important piece missing in the faith formation of many of our amazing youth leaders — the opportunity to belong to a community of people committed to an intentional discipleship journey together, that goes beyond attending worship services or youth leader training events.

"What would it look like if the leaders of our young people were deeply formed disciples of Jesus — not just skilled youth workers?"

This community exists to create exactly that space: four months of intentional formation together, rooted in scripture, honest conversation, and the kind of community that actually changes people.

Three dimensions of growth

What we're growing towards

🌱

Personal Formation

Growing closer to Christ. Developing the roots that sustain everything else you do in ministry.

🤝

Relational Formation

Deepening how you connect with others and the wider body of Christ. Real community with real people.

🌿

Ministry Formation

Strengthening your capacity to serve young people and their families — from the inside out.

How it works

What happens each session

Each session runs for 90 minutes and starts with a reflection from scripture, spiritual practices, reflection on a profound ministry book, and a time for small group reflection. Each month before we meet, we'll ask you to read one chapter of The Master Plan of Evangelism by Robert Coleman.

01

Engage with Scripture

We open with scripture, sitting with God's word together before anything else — letting it shape the conversation that follows.

02

Spiritual Practices

A short spiritual practice rooted in a PYM core value — followed by small group reflection and prayer.

03

Book Reflection

We discuss that month's chapter from The Master Plan of Evangelism — how did Jesus actually make disciples? Come having read it.

04

Group Discussion

The same small group of people every session — discuss, reflect, and pray together before we close.

What we're reading

The Master Plan of Evangelism

The Master Plan of Evangelism Robert Coleman

Why this book?

Jesus didn't launch a programme. He chose twelve people and walked closely with them until they could do the same with others.

In The Master Plan of Evangelism, Robert Coleman asks a deceptively simple question: how did Jesus actually make disciples? His answer is both deeply personal and profoundly strategic — Jesus invested in people first, and his method was his message.

Before each session: read one chapter (around 20–30 minutes). You have a whole month — no excuses! Book details will be sent to you after you register.

📌

All four sessions. No exceptions.

Real community doesn't happen without people consistently showing up. The depth of what we build together depends on the same people being present every month. Please only register if you can genuinely commit to all four sessions — and register before 3 June.

Our expectations

A few things we ask of you

Show up ready

Please read the chapter before we meet. It'll take you 20–30 minutes and you have a whole month. Come prepared to engage, not just listen.

Drop the distractions

Find a quiet place where you won't be interrupted. Don't try to do the laundry or draft your next youth talk while you're with us — give us your full attention.

Be as open as you can

During our breakout times you'll be with the same small group across all four sessions. Make the most of it — be real with the people around you.

Commit to the journey

Four months, one chapter a month, 90 minutes together. Small investment — significant formation. We're trusting you to show up for each other.

Ready to journey together?

Registration closes 3 June — spots are still available. Commit to all four sessions of your chosen group — Thursday or Wednesday evenings.
